What is Emollient Therapy?

The human body is predominantly water and the skin functions to provide a barrier to retain this water and prevent dehydration. However when the skin is damaged , whether it be dry, aged, diseased, stressed etc.... gaps are created and it loses its ability to function as an effective continuous barrier allowing water to escape to the environment via evaporation causing further drying. As you can see this creates a vicious cycle.

It is at this point that your choice of moisturiser is critical.

If you choose a traditional "humectant" moisturiser, as found in creams and lotions, moisture is applied to the skin initially but it is quickly lost again through the mechanism explained above.

The Emollients in Medi Oil are different, they supplement natural skin oil (sebum) to produce a thin, water repellent "seal" that protects the skin, preventing further water loss, allowing skin to rehydrate itself naturally and quickly.

This seal can also be used to your advantage as a barrier to protect skin. To achieve this Medi Oil should be applied before exposure to household or industrial chemicals.

Are you paying a fortune for water?

Have a look at the ingredients listed on your current skin care products. Even the most expensive moisturisers have water listed as their major ingredient.

In addition to this there will be numerous chemicals listed to Stabilise, Emulsify, Perfume and Preserve and Colour. ( These additives can often irritate skin that is sensitive or dry ) 

Moisturising creams contain minor amounts of ingredients to actually moisturise dry skin.

 This is where MEDI OIL differs it is specifically formulated to contain

Because Medi Oil is made up entirely of moisturiser, a little goes a very long way providing an economical solution for dry skin.

Medi Oil contains approximately 1250 applications ( based on a treatment area of 25 square cm)

Directions: Apply a few drops at a time, Spread evenly, allow to absorb and reapply if necessary. Use up to 3 times a day.

Contains: Paraffinum Liquidum (Mineral Oil) , Isopropyl Myristate, Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A) , Tocopherol Acetate (Vitamin E).
